I was having the same problem and almost entered the wrong scores until I figured out what was happening.

Simple fix.  The light from my monitor was causing a secondary glare on my tickets.  I turned off my monitor from my computer and I had no errors after that.

Interesting find.   Thanks for sharing that tidbit.    :)

In a few days Apple will approve the new version of our mobile app, which has some very cool features for reporting and fixing scanning problems. I will post here with more information soon, but in essence the app will start sending images back to us if they read any blanks, and we will be able to use those images to improve the scanner and also diagnose what might be causing your scanning issues (usually, it's lighting). You'll also be able to send us specific images that are giving you trouble so we can see what you're dealing with.
